Today’s podcast tells the story of a community forming around organic agriculture. In 1999 Tineke Veldhuis moved to the Williamsburg, Indiana from Holland, to take a position with a large company.
In the meantime, her late husband, Ypka, was building community with his neighbours who were also new to Indiana, a group Pennsylvania Amish who moved to the area in the late 90s.
Ypka started an organic dairy farm which is now known as Dutch Acres LLC, which went on to change his community.
Enjoy this story told to you by Organic Valley farmer-owner Tineke Veldhuis, and farm manager Eli Miller of Dutch Acres LLC.
