When Eat Farm Now was launched, it was created with a simple goal: to help people better understand where their food comes from and the people behind it. For many consumers, farming can feel distant from everyday life. Yet every loaf of bread, glass of milk, punnet of strawberries and bottle of wine has a story behind it. Those stories deserve to be told.
Over the past 7 years, we have shared articles, videos, podcasts and interviews covering everything from livestock farming and crop production to vineyards, farm shops, food producers, and rural businesses. But the most popular content is often the simplest: real stories from real people.
That’s why we’re always looking for new contributors!
Who can contribute?
You don’t need to be a professional writer, photographer or podcaster to share your story.
We’re keen to hear from:
🌾 Farmers and growers
🍓 Pick Your Own (PYO) businesses
🍷 Vineyards and wineries
🧀 Food and drink producers
🐄 Livestock farmers
🐟 Fisheries and seafood businesses
🏡 Farm shops and farm retailers
🌱 Environmental and conservation projects
🎓 Agricultural students and researchers
👩🍳 Chefs and food professionals
🚜 Agricultural contractors and rural businesses
❤️ Farming charities and community organisations
If your work helps produce food, support farming or connect people with the countryside, we would love to hear from you!
Don’t worry about writing a perfect article
One of the biggest reasons people don’t contribute is that they think they need to write a polished 1,000-word article. The good news is: you don’t! We’re happy to work with content in lots of different formats, including:
Option 1: A Short Blog
A few hundred words about:
- Your farm
- Your business
- A seasonal activity
- A challenge you’ve overcome
- Something you’re passionate about
Option 2: Photos with Captions
Sometimes a picture really does tell a thousand words.
Send us:
- Farm photos
- Seasonal activities
- Harvest images
- Livestock updates
- Wildlife sightings
Along with a short explanation about what the images are about and how they relate to food and farming.
Option 3: Video Content
Short videos are a great way to bring food and farming to life. If you’re already posting them on other platforms like YouTube, then we can embed them into a blog, easy!
Examples could include:
- Harvest updates
- Behind-the-scenes footage
- A day in the life
- How a product is made
- Seasonal farm activities
Option 4: Share your Podcast with us
Simply share your audio file or link to the episode, and we can share it here to help reach new audiences!

What stories are we looking for?
Some ideas include:
🌱 What are you growing this season?
🚜 What happens during harvest?
🐑 What is lambing season really like?
🍷 How is wine produced in the UK?
🥔 How are potatoes grown?
🐟 How does sustainable fishing work?
🌻 Why did you start a PYO business?
🧀 How is your food product made?
🌍 What sustainability projects are happening on your farm?
If you’ve ever thought, “People might find this interesting,” there’s a good chance they will.
Why share your story?
By contributing to Eat Farm Now, you can:
- Help consumers understand food production
- Showcase your business or organisation
- Promote British food and farming
- Inspire the next generation
- Share your expertise and experiences
- Reach new audiences interested in food and farming
Most importantly, you’ll be helping bridge the gap between producers and consumers.

We’d love to hear from you!
Whether you’re growing vegetables, producing wine, raising livestock, running a farm shop, researching sustainable agriculture or simply passionate about the future of food, we’d love to help share your story.
Because the best way to help people understand food and farming is to hear directly from the people who live it every day.
