What is a ‘cattle crush’? A farmer explains

This is not what it sounds like, and to be honest I don’t know why it is called a ‘crush’, but basically it is a device that holds big, heavy, strong cattle still, so that we can look after them without them (or us) getting injured.
We use it to weight the cattle, test them for TB, vaccinate them, check if cows are in calf, help with calving cows, suckle new born calves, and put our government required ear tags in – but the list goes on.
