How to walk a dog near sheep – with farmer Rich

Dogs can harm sheep and their lambs, so how do you keep them safe when walking in the countryside? Farmer Rich shares some advice on how to walk safely through a field of sheep with a dog. His top tips? Keep your dog on a short lead and stay on the footpath.

Rich Heady is a mixed farm in Buckinghamshire. He has cattle, sheep and crops on his farm. Rich says; “Come and join me for the highs and lows of farming cattle and sheep, along with growing a variety of crops for us and our animals to eat.
