Today is shearing day. My good friend Charlie comes to shear my sheep about 6 weeks before lambing. I do this for a couple of reasons…
1. To have the sheep clean for lambs to find their udders, and not have any chance of picking up bacteria from dirt and debris.
2. So my ewes will go into the trim chute easier later this week when I have to hoof trim and vaccinate.
