The rain plays a massive part in the UK harvest. We cant combine the crops wet as the moisture will make the grain go mouldy, so we have to wait for a period of dry weather.
The problem with this is that the weather can prevent us harvesting our crops at the optimum time, which can lead to reductions in grain quality, and the crops starting so shed (drop) some of their valuable seed onto the floor.
